World’s oldest fossil mushroom discovered

Roughly one hundred fifteen million years in the past, when the traditional supercontinent Gondwana was breaking up, a mushroom fell right into a river and commenced an unbelievable journey. Its final destiny as a mineralized fossil preserved in limestone in northeast Brazil makes it a scientific marvel, scientists report.
