Humankind’s earliest ancestors found in southern England

Fossils of the oldest mammals associated to humankind have been found on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset within the UK. The 2 tooth are from small, rat-like creatures that lived one hundred forty five million years in the past within the shadow of the dinosaurs. They’re the earliest undisputed fossils of mammals belonging to the road that led to human beings.
