European markets mixed: Milan and Germany’s Dax advance

Italy’s Ftse Mib index advanced 0.6% to 20,442 points. The yield spread between 10-year Italian bonds and the German benchmark equivalent, considered to be a barometer of Italy’s borrowing costs in the eurozone crisis, closed at 185 points with 10-year yields at 3.5%. PThe Frankfurt Dax bourse gained 1% to 9,692 points.
